Well, for those who haven’t heard, Kelly and I were married on Friday, December 28, 2007.
We were originally supposed to get married on Friday, July 18, 2008, but decided to bump it up sooner.
I give Kelly all of the credit for organizing the perfect wedding in less than a week. We were married at Devonian Gardens here in Calgary and had our reception at Newport Grill on Lake Bonavista.
Planning went surprisingly well, mostly due to off-season availability. Everything seemed to fall into place as each day brought us closer to our wedding.
Devonian Gardens staff found us a nice place for the ceremony in their Quiet Garden downtown. Our pastor, Jeff, walked us through a mini-rehearsal 15 minutes before he married us, and helped us wing it from there.
RedLine Studios attended for photography and promised us their best wedding shot for 2007. The gardens were an amazing place to have our photos taken. I can’t wait to see proofs.
After pictures, Liliana (Maid of Honour), Jared (Best Man), and I went down to the Glemore Reservoir for some more photo ops. Turned out Jared forgot to bring batteries for his camera ( Who brings a camera to a wedding without batteries? 
), so we ended up goofing around with a disposable for the heck of it. Of course, we had to hit up McD’s while we where killing time as well. Reservation for 4? …
Mark at Newport Grill did an incredible job setting us up with a reception. The room had floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake and the staff did a bang-up job preparing for 45 on short notice. A classy atmosphere, good music, great food, and drink … What more could we ask for?
Father’s of the bride and groom gave introductions to the families, and the best man and maid of honor chipped in without notice also.
